Stress Relief

it has been said that in order for people to survive in this world we need to stress less.Stress is probably the single biggest cause of heart failure in the world. As we go about our daily lives we pick up all the rubbish and wear it on our hearts.Work pressures , financial worries relationships all contribute to the levels of stress in our lives and yet society has taught us to be macho "Be a man my boy..." "Suck it up" etc. etc. these are catch phrases we all know and use. Society frowns on people who vent their stress violently but the build up of stress often "Blows up " like a safety valve releasing and as we vent we realise that we have in effect lessened our stress level.
I believe that in our daily run of the mill lives these rants and "safety valve" blowups are vital, yet there is a way of releasing our stress levels without the dangerous side effects. The only side effect is an inability to sit down for a few days. yes you got it I'm talking about a good bare bottomed blistering.
All anger, frustration bitterness stress vanishes as the level of sting increases. It has been said that even the most hard headed headstrong men very quickly lose their "cool" when they find themselves bent over a knee or lap having their butts walloped . I speak from experience, as a young man I often found myself draped over the lap having my "attitude adjusted". Sadly as i have gotten older I found that these episodes became less frequent and eventually stopped altogether.
The cessation of these sessions has left a void in my life, "ah if only I was younger" the cry.
